BUCS 2019-20 – Dragons Week 3 Recap

It was British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Cup this past week, with Westminster 2nd receiving a BYE into the next round, Westminster 1st & 3rd had to compete to advance.

🐲 Westminster 3rd crash out of the BUCS Cup, losing to a strong and organised Kings College 3rd 86-37

🐲 Westminster 1st advance dominating UEL 4th 152-57. The Dragons hit a staggering 49 points in the 1st Quarter, ending the half 84-29.

Westminster University spread out the scoring this game round, with seven players in double digits (A.Khalil 34pts, M.Mitchell 15pts, O.Vasiliauskas 25pts, A.Stewart 10pts, T.Blake-Bailey 16pts, F.Roman 14pts and G.Aguilar 14pts).

Centre Carlos Javier contributed with 10 rebounds and 4 points, and rookie Fernando Roman with an impressive 14pts, 8 rebs, 8asts and 5 steals performance.

More university records are being broken this season by the 1st Team, with most points scored against a team (152) and the largest deficit (95). This is the third consecutive game this season the Dragons have hit over 100.
