BUCS Week 2 – Dragons Recap

The Dragons Den of Harrow Sports Hall was filled with three home BUCS Men’s Basketball games for the first time in Westminster history!

Westminster 1st open their British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) campaign with a strong 84-63 victory over LSE 1st! 🐲🔥

An overall solid performance from the team, we did a good job of sharing the ball on offense and getting everyone involved. We can work a lot more defensively, but it’s a good opening league game for the team.
– Coach Clive Castillo

Guard Afrasyab Khalil debuts with an impressive 35pts, with Justin Senou adding 15pts. Gerald Aguilar provided efficiency and energy off the bench with 13pts.

Box Score:
A.Khalil 35, J.Senou 15, G.Aguilar 13, C.Velayos 10, K.Andres-Diaz 5, S.Mullings 4, T.Blake-Bailey 2

Other Dragons result from the BUCS Wednesday

Westminster 2nd move to 2-0 with a dominating 73-42 performance against Brunel 3rd. 🔥

Brunel 3rd struggled to find an answer for Westminster 2nd who worked well on both ends of the floor to secure an impressive victory.

Newly assembled Westminster 3rd lose their second league game in a row, 23-70 to an organised and strong Goldsmith 1st side. 🐲

Goldsmith 1st proved too strong and well organised for the newly formed Westminster 3rd.
